WMS for finished-goods warehouses. A warehouse that knows the weight of every carton

A warehouse system for meat plants: catch-weight goods, carcasses and half-carcasses, shelf life and cold rooms. It works with the same batch as Tamga on the shop floor.

Location-based storage and shelf-life picking are already part of stage 3a of the current project.

Warehouse pain points

Catch-weight goods don't fit a regular WMS

Weight

Shipped more than the invoice says?

Cartons and carcasses vary in weight, but the warehouse counts units.

Shelf life

Why was expired product written off?

Pickers take what's closest to the door, not what expires first.

Stock

What's in cold room 3 right now?

Stock in your records doesn't match the room, and a recount takes a whole shift.

Capabilities

A warehouse built for meat, not shoeboxes

Location-based storage

Every carton and carcass in its place in the cold room, visible on a handheld.

Catch-weight tracking

Receiving and dispatch by actual weight from the scales.

Shelf-life picking

The system suggests what to ship first.

Linked to production and delivery

The same batch as in Tamga, and orders picked per truck.

Benefits

What the plant gets

Dispatch by actual weight

The invoice matches what left the dock: fewer disputes and short weights with customers.

Fewer shelf-life write-offs

What expires first ships first, not what's closest to the door.

Stock always in view

Stock in every cold room is visible at any time, and counts are done on handhelds, not on paper.

One record with production

Batches, weights and dates come from the shop floor, and the data stays on your server.

Questions

Warehouse questions

How is a meat plant warehouse different from a regular one?

Goods are sold by weight: every carton and carcass has its own weight, and every batch has a shelf life. So the warehouse needs the weight of each unit, a storage location for it and picking by shelf life, and the invoice has to match what actually left.

How is the WMS linked to production?

The warehouse receives batches from Tamga with weight, shelf life and composition. Nothing is entered twice, and a carton at dispatch can be traced back to the head.

What is picking by shelf life?

Whatever expires first ships first, not whatever is closest to the door. That means fewer write-offs of expired products.

How to start

Let's review your warehouse

We'll look at your cold rooms, catch-weight goods and dispatch, and show where money leaks: mix-ups, short weights, shelf-life write-offs.
